What is check in/out times? Check in time is at 2pm, if you are having a fully catered stay you are welcome to arrive at 12:15pm and join us for the picnic lunch (departs at 12.30pm). Departure time is at 10am.
Can I have a late check out/ early check-in? Late check outs and early check-ins are unavailable at this time due to COVID 19.
How long should I stay at the farm? We recommend staying 2 – 4 nights at the farm. That way you get to enjoy all the activities, and really relax into the farm and surrounds.
Can I do all the activities in a single night stay? Yes, the best way to experience the farm for a single night is to have a fully catered stay, you can arrive at 12:15pm and join us for the picnic lunch. If you wish to join for all of the activities you can, it’s a busy schedule but loads of fun if you are short of time!
Can I rent out the whole farmstay? Yes, we often host large families for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries etc. Please contact us for a quote.
What are the bedroom/bathroom configurations? The Wallaby Cottage has 2 bedrooms, the main with a queen bed, and the second room has 4 single bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge room. There is 1 bathroom and toilet.
The Sinston Cottage has 2 bedrooms, the main with a queen bed, the second room has 4 single bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge room. There is 1 bathroom and toilet.
The Dairy Cottage, has 2 main bedrooms, both with queen size beds. The third room has 4 single bunk beds, and the fourth room has 3 single bunk beds. One of the main rooms also has a trundle bed. There is 1 bathroom and 2 toilets.
The Homestead has 2 very large rooms in the front, both with a queen bed and a single, plus a trundle bed. The back 2 rooms have a double bed plus a single bed, there is also a sofa bed in the lounge room. There is 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets.
How far apart are the cottages? The cottages and homestead are located roughly around 50 meters of each other, easy walking distance.
What are the activity and meals times?
8.00am – Morning animal feeding
8.45am – Breakfast in the dining room
9.30am – Cave Hike (Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays only)
12.30pm – 4WD picnic lunch departs
Boomerang throwing and whip cracking time varies, check with staff.
4.00pm – Afternoon animal feeding and egg collecting
5.00pm – 4WD Twilight mountain tour (departure time changes based on sunset time, staff will confirm departure time on the day)
6.30pm – Dinner in the dining room
Can I book in meals once I arrive? It’s best to pre book your meals before you arrive as we only cater to order. However, if you do decide last minute you would like a meal please check with our staff if this is possible.
Can you cater to special dietary requirements? Yes, if you have any special dietary requirements please let us know is advance. We often cater to vegetarians, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, egg free, soy and nut free, plus allergies. extra charges apply.
Do you have a menu? Cedar Glen does not offer a menu, however guest’s likes and dislikes are taken into account.
Can I book activities once I arrive? We encourage you to book activities in advance as some activities have limited numbers available, if you haven’t booked for activities and would like some once you arrive please check availability with our staff.
Is there internet or wi-fi available? We do have some limited access to wi-fi near the office area which is ok for checking emails but not downloading movies etc, since we are located quite remotely there is not a lot of internet options available. The best phone coverage available in the area is with Telstra.
Is there car parking available? Yes, there is plenty of parking spaces around the farmstay and cottages.
Is there any public transport nearby? Unfortunately, there is no public transport that services the Lost World Valley, the best mode of transport here is by car.
Can you arrange transfers from the airport/hotel? Yes, we can assist with this. Please contact us and we can arrange transfers for you. The cost ranges from $450-$550 for a return trip from either Brisbane or Gold Coast.
Can I bring my dog/cat to the farm? Unfortunately we no longer allow pets at the farm as it is too unsettling for the farm animals.
Can I bring my horse? Sorry but due to insurance costs we do not allow people to bring their own horse.
Where are the closest shops/restaurants? Beaudesert is the last town you will pass through on the way to the farm, if you need any supplies like food, drinks etc this is the last place you can pick them up. We are located 30 kms south of Beaudesert, there are no restaurants near us directly, only in Beaudesert.
